Cinegy Daniel2 Accelerator Plugin Pack

High-speed Cinegy Daniel2 GPU video codec and NVIDIA GPU accelerated H.264 and HEVC video export.

High-speed Cinegy Daniel2 GPU video codec and NVIDIA GPU accelerated H.264 and HEVC video export.

The Daniel2 Accelerator Plugin Pack is a collection of three Adobe CC 2018 plugins for Windows: Cinegy’s Daniel2 video codec plugin, as well as Cinegy’s NVIDIA GPU accelerated H.264 and HEVC export plugins.
Cinegy’s hyper-parallel processing Daniel2 video codec massively accelerates ultra-high resolution cinema and post-production. It harnesses the power of today’s highly scalable multi-CPU systems or the abundant computing power of the hundreds or thousands of compute cores found in NVIDIA graphics cards.
The result is unparalleled UHD, 4K, 8K or even higher resolution throughput, many times faster than what can be achieved with classic production or mezzanine codecs - of course while maintaining highest quality. Daniel2 is using the professional MXF OP1A container format which supports edit-while-recording workflows. Daniel2’s efficient Alpha channel support makes it a popular choice for complex post-production workflows.
Cinegy’s NVIDIA GPU accelerated H.264 and HEVC export plugins help accelerate exports and offload the systems CPU for other tasks. Being NVIDIA hardware accelerated the export can be many times faster than what can be achieved with a systems CPU. The HEVC export supports 10bit color and up to 8K resolution output.

Requires Adobe CC 2018 running on Windows 10 64bit.

Download the zip file - the downloaded file which should be in your download folder is called: ”DANIEL2-Adobe-Codec-Pack-1.99.32.0.zip”

Double-click on it once download finished and it should open.

Now double-click on the installer application which will start the installation process.

Follow the on-screen instructions.

Once installation is successfully finished you need add the license key to the Cinegy License Manager - find the icon to launch on your Windows desktop.

If you do not have a license key yet you can get one for free registering online. The link is in the README_FIRST.txt file also in the zip file.
This is a machine based license - you will need one license per machine you use this plugin on.

The plugin installer also creates a desktop icon labeled ”Cinegy DANIEL2 Adobe Codec Pack”. Double clicking that icon launches the plugin configurator allowing to enable/disable GPU acceleration, asynchronous import, and the number of concurrent decoders. The defaults should be fine. Disabling GPU acceleration allows DANIEL2 video decoding on machines not equipped with NVIDIA graphics cards.
The plugin configurator can also be launched going to the program group Cinegy -> ”Cinegy DANIEL2 Adobe Codec Pack” via the Windows start button.

A quick guide for for using the plugin can be found here:
